Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie apparently would have delivered his line more forcefully if given the once-in-a-lifetime chance to have it included in the timeless love ballad “Stir It Up” by Bob Marley and The Wailers, according to Ghanaian entertainment critic Mr. Logic.
It was an honor for the rapper to be chosen to perform the 1967 song “Stir It Up,” which iconic reggae artist Bob Marley composed for his wife Rita.
However, according to Mr. Logic, a talent manager who also plays music, “there is nothing exceptional” about the song, and he adds that it lacks the African touch that would have greatly enhanced its appeal.
“The regular Ghanaian will think it doesn't matter,” he said in his response to United Showbiz, which was presented by Abeiku Santana on January 28, 2023. “You don't sense Sark's presence so much because you cannot feel the African spirit,” he said.
