Rocky Dawuni, the legendary reggae performer from Ghana, likened himself to “John the Baptist,” whom God is using to open doors for other Ghanaian artists to enter the worldwide market.
Rocky asserts that regardless of what others may think, Ghanaian artists have the ability to be nominated for Grammy Awards.
He said in an interview with Berla Mundi at the brunch for all the African Grammy nominees that all the artists in Ghana had a great chance of receiving Grammy nominations.
The three-time Grammy nominee also listed some of the artists who may be nominated, including all of the well-known figures in Ghana's music business.
He said that Ghanaian music is ready and that the moment is now.
Rocky Dawuni said that he always has a victory attitude and that his nominations are paving the way for a larger triumph for Ghana, despite the fact that he was unable to win in his category at the 2018 Grammy Awards.
