She was owing me 5000 cedis – Police officer who killed Maa Adwoa reveals in court
The Police officer who killed Victoria Dapaah, his sidekick, has revealed the true motive for his actions.
Tuesday, April 25, marked Inspector Ahmed Twumasi's first court appearance following his weekend arrest.
He claimed not to have intended to perpetrate the crime in his statement before the Asokore Mampong District Court.
“What happened is between me and God,” Inspector Twumasi told the open court. He is scheduled to reappear on Tuesday, May 30.
He also disclosed that the deceased owed him an amount of 5000 cedis which she has refused to pay back.
The Security Analyst responded by claiming that although the present Inspector-General of Police (IGP) began his tenure as an officer on a positive note, “now he has gone to sleep and I daresay there is a group of people in the police administration called the Dampare Boys,” he claimed.
He claimed that although the Service is designed to transform officers, the Dampare-led administration seemed to have given up on its transformational objective.
“This is clearly a mental health issue,” Mr Kotin told presenter Martin Asiedu-Dartey on TV3‘s Midday Live on Tuesday, April 25.
He said the mental fortitude of officers is getting weaker day by day due to operational shortfalls.
