“Wee” Is A Blood Tonic; It’s Not A Sin To Smoke It ” – Jay Bahd
Rapper Jay Bahd has caused a sensation in Ghanaian circles by claiming that marijuana use, known locally as “wee,” is similar to “mogya duro,” which translates to “blood tonic,” and is therefore not sinful.
The “Odo” hitmaker adamantly supported “Wee’s” smoking in an open interview on Ghpage’s Rush Hour Show, emphasizing that it shouldn’t be considered a sin.
He says that because marijuana increases hunger and leads to better eating habits, it should be regarded as a “blood tonic.”
In an attempt to strengthen his case, Jay Bhad compared the usage of marijuana to divine knowledge, saying that criticizing its use is equivalent to doubting God’s intelligence because He created everything and declared it sacred for human consumption.
The rapper’s vocal position on marijuana use for recreational purposes clarifies the current discussion on the legalization and social acceptance of cannabis in different countries.
He delicately suggests that, for him, consuming marijuana has therapeutic or medicinal benefits rather than just being an enjoyment by comparing it to “mogya duro.”
