Nigerian singer and songwriter Teniola Apata, widely recognized as Teni, has refuted claims of undergoing weight loss surgery.
In an episode of the Zero Conditions Podcast, Teni Entertainer expressed her frustration, stating that despite her sincere efforts to shed weight and reduce excess fat, there persists a misconception that she has undergone plastic surgery to modify her appearance.
She shared, “I went through a lot. I underwent a lot of changes. I lose weight, and unfortunately, some people claimed I had surgery. If I had surgery, my stomach would be flat. I wish, but I was scared. Surgery is not easy. It’s life-threatening. Going under the knife is not an easy decision.
“
According to the ‘No Days’ singer, she was on a strict diet for months and she made sure she was disciplined enough to take care of herself.
“I was on a strict diet. Ask my managers. No carbs. I was on a strict diet for two months.
“But it taught me discipline. The mind is also a muscle. The way you flex your arms, discipline helps you flex your mind. It was not easy. Do you know what it means for me to take people out on dinner and I can’t eat what they are eating?
” she added.
