Nick Mullens is an American football quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, he grew up in Hoover, Alabama, and is the grandson of Ernie Tabor, who played in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system in the 1950s.

Nick Mullens originally committed to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, changed his course after a last-minute visit to the University of Southern Mississippi. He signed with the Golden Eagles after starting the 2013 season with a 0-6 record.

In his second collegiate game, he became the first true freshman starting quarterback in Southern Miss history to pass for more than 300 yards in a single game. In 2013, Mullens played a key role in helping Southern Miss end its losing streak at 23 games with a five-touchdown performance against the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

In the 2015 regular season, Mullens completed 331 of 521 passes (63.5%) for 4,476 yards and 38 touchdowns, ranked sixth among NCAA Division I FBS quarterbacks in passing yardage.

His efforts were instrumental in a reversal of the Southern Miss football program's fortunes, with the team posting a 9-5 record for the year just two seasons after snapping its abysmal 23-game losing streak.

In 2016, Mullens made 11 starts and completed 243 of 384 attempts for 3,272 yards and 24 touchdowns, averaging 297.5 passing yards per game. In four seasons at Southern Miss (2013–2016), he played in 44 games and completed 928 of 1,546 attempts for 11,994 yards and 87 touchdowns.

In May 2017, he signed with the 49ers of San Francisco. On the depth chart, he was ranked as the fourth backup quarterback going into training camp. He was recruited to the practice squad after being released in 2018. He played in just one game in 2019 as Jimmy Garoppolo's backup quarterback.

 He signed a one-year contract with the 49ers in 2020, and he was selected to start against the Oakland Raiders in Week 9. He signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021, however the team released him.

Nick Mullens signed contracts with the Cleveland Browns and the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022. He and the Vikings inked a two-year contract extension in 2023.
