Guinness World Records Finally Reacts To Chef Faila’s Attempt To Break The Cookathon Record

After an incredible 10-day marathon, Abdul-Razak, also known as Chef Faila, officially ended her unprecedented cookathon today, January 10, 2024.

The one thing that many people were eager to see when the 227-hour cooking time was stopped was the Guinness World Record team's response.

Now that the response has finally surfaced, they have, as usual, used their well-known remarks to imply that they will only award her the title if she presents the body with proof of her cookathon.

In a post they made to react to a tag by Ghanaian journalist, Olele Salvador on X, the body wrote: “we look forward to reviewing her evidence!”

Originally scheduled to last five days, Chef Faila's cookathon took on a life of its own and culminated in an unprecedented ten days of cooking, or 227 hours of nonstop cooking.

On January 1, 2024, Chef Faila set out on this adventure with the goal of breaking a new Guinness World Record.

But as the days went by, she proved not only to be a skilled chef but also to have unwavering determination that went above and beyond her original aim.

Many were shocked to learn that she had extended the cook-a-thon to an astounding 10 days, especially since she appeared to be getting stronger every day. This was made possible by her unwavering spirit and commitment to shattering stereotypes in the culinary industry.

On the ninth day of this journey, Chef Faila's husband, Captain Reginald Agyei gave a hint that she was going to end today, January 10, 2024, because he had concerns for her health despite reassurances from both the medical team and the chef herself.

“I just want her to be safe. I don't want her overstressing herself. I'm an officer, so obviously I've trained officers and all. So I know the point where when you get out this point, we are not coming out,” Captain Agyei explained. “Right now, I can say on authority that we are calling it quits. She is okay. She's willing to continue. The medical team is saying she's okay, but the team myself, we think it's enough,” he told Gh One TV.

Well, just as her husband, Captain Reginald Agyei had indicated, Chef Faila ended around 11:00 AM this morning after the impressive 227 hours of cooking over 70 different delicious dishes.

Just when the clock was stopped, Chef Faila got a huge applause from all the people gathered while the top hierarchy of the military who were gathered there saluted her.
