“If You Can’t Cook A Perfect Ghana Jollof, I Can’t Marry You” – Michael Blackson Tells Women He Hangs Out WIth
As a comedian from Ghana living in the UK, Michael Blackson recently revealed his standards for choosing a life mate. He truly follows the proverb, “A man's stomach leads to his heart.”
The way to win his heart, he said in a lighthearted interview with Doreen Avio, is to become an expert at Ghana Jollof, a popular and important dish in Ghanaian culture.
In the same interview, Mike noted that, owing to this particular requirement, he nearly lost his maid as she cooked one of the most wonderful Jollof meals he had ever savored.
“Jollof test. You have to cook jollof, and I have to taste it, and it has to be great. I hang out with a lot of Nigerians, Sierra Leoneans, and even Chinese with fried rice. If my wife cannot represent my country with the perfect Ghanaian jollof, I can't marry you,” he said.
“I'm so close to marrying my housekeeper. She cooked some jollof the other day. It is part of the best jollof I have had in a very long time,” he added.
