Mama Deza 2017, Awaya Dela Jennifer Register 100 underprivileged unto the NHIS at Ketu North Municipality
Awaya Dela Deizy Mama Deza 2017 of Dzodze traditional area, has organised free registration and renewal of National Health Insurance cards for residents in Kave,Awlikorpe,Kpelikofe,Akunta,Galikorpe,Teyikorpe and Hatsukofe.
The exercise took place at the Ketu North NHIS office for the benefit of pregnant women, children and the elderly.
According to her, about 100 people are expected to benefit from this philanthropic exercise.
The Queen , revealed that aside taking into consideration the health needs of his people, he has also been organising health work in partnership with KEtu North NHIS for the past 5 months
The Queen explained that a sound mind lived in a healthy body, hence the health support to her area to enable them access healthcare without the National Health Insurance card being a hindrance.
“The National Health Insurance Scheme is a very laudable initiative meant to ensure that our health needs are adequately catered for, but, regrettably, not many people are able to access the scheme because of renewal and registration issues,” the Manager of NHIS KEtu North bemoaned.
He appealed to institutions and well-meaning individuals in and outside KEtu North to come on board to support Mama Deza 2017 noting that the free insurance registration and renewal.
Some of the beneficiaries disclosed that the support was timely, because it had come at a time when many of them were faced with financial challenges.
