Just In: Adwoa Safo Fired As A Minister
According to information gathered from the corridors of power by The New Publisher, the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has been removed, and a substantive successor will be revealed in the coming days.
Adwoa Safo has been absent from the Ministry for several months following her failed attempt to sack Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah, the National Coordinator of the School Feeding Program, and Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, hinted on Tuesday that she may have lost interest in remaining Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection.
Mr. Agyapong claimed that Adwoa Safo's humiliating attempt to terminate Mrs. Quashigah was a mistake in and of itself since she failed to investigate and establish the truth behind several false allegations made against the highly regarded woman.
Public calls for Adwoa Safo's resignation or dismissal got stronger after her prolonged absence from the Ministry and the persistent nature of her attitude.
When it became clear that Adwoa would not be returning anytime soon, the Presidency had no choice but to appoint Cecilia Abena Dapaah, the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, as Adwoa Safo's caretaker while she continues to cool off in America and appears on Tic Toc with a pretty polished face, dancing and singing.
Sarah Adwoa Safo is the Member of Parliament for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, and she has been in the news for the greater part of this year because of her absence from Parliament, particularly the explanations supplied by her party members and close allies.
