“I Was Treated Like A Superstar By Hammer In My Chalewote Days” – Sarkodie

Sarkcess music boss, Sarkodie, has never concealed his respect for Hammer of the Last 2’s unrelenting role in fostering his talent and propelling him into the spotlight.

Thus, during an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s The Library, he utilized the opportunity to thank the renowned sound engineer and talent scout for treating him like a celebrity when he was a nobody who used to show up to studios in toilet sandals (chalewote).

I recall one occasion when I was traveling with him and he [Da’ Hammer] glanced at me via the rear-view mirror and said: WOW! In my automobile, I have a superstar… “These were the days when I was still wearing chalewote,” says the narrator. Sarkodie retold the story.

Sarkodie also recalled how Hammer would encourage people to snap photographs of him since they wouldn’t be able to do so in the future as he trudges along the path to superstardom.

“I recall Hammer telling everyone all the time… He said something along the lines of, “Take photographs of this person. You might not be able to take them for another two or three years.”

Furthermore, Obidi praised Hammer for believing in him and foreseeing his grandeur when he was still on the verge of it.

Hammer of the Last Two is one of those individuals who enjoys bringing out the best in others. He sees you in a different light than you see yourself. He’s like a prophet; he speaks of things that will happen later.
