“Tell Haaland To Come And Play For Ghana” – Netizen Tells Dortmund After Congratulating Ghana And Otto Addo For Qualifying For The World Cup
Borussia Dortmund, a German professional sports club based in Dortmund, took to Twitter after their assistant coach, now interim Ghana Black Stars coach, led the Black Stars to a great draw to qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Ghana seized the lead early on as Thomas Partey of Arsenal struck a shot from the edge of the area past Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho. Early on, the away team took the lead thanks to a goalie error.
After Dennis Odoi brought Ademola Lookman down in the box, Nigeria gained control of the game and equalized. A VAR was called in to make the judgment, and William Troost-Ekong made no mistakes from the penalty spot.
Nigeria believed they had taken the lead in the 34th minute, but VAR overturned Victor Osihmen's shot for offside.
Nigeria had 60% control in the second half and had nine shots, but just one of them was successful in bringing Joe Wollacott into action.
