Following the success of his popular song “Biibi Besi,” Ghanaian rapper Kwame Yogot has revealed why he left his record label.

He asserts that he thinks his record label has prevented him from progressing further in the business.

In an interview with Giovani Caleb on 3FMDrive, he stated that he is now taking matters into his own hands because he felt he could have done so much more but was unable to due to record-keeping restrictions.

He said, “I had songs after my big song, “Biibi Besi,” that might have carried me far upon release, but my record company did not agree with me. “This made me upset since I was advancing at a sluggish rate.”

He claimed that the record label's request for him not to release the song from his most recent album, “I'm feeling Ok,” was the final straw.
