I don’t give out money on social media because I don’t know if the person is a witch – Fantana Reveals
Fantana, a musician and songwriter from Ghana, recently aroused interest and a lot of curiosity when she revealed on social media how she gives money in an unusual way.
The ‘So What' singer emphasized her reluctance to engage in online financial gestures during an interview with Giovani Caleb and AJ Sarpong on 3FM 92.7. She cited her concern that she would unintentionally help someone with bad motives.
Fantana responded to Giovani and gave an explanation for why she doesn't donate money to those who ask for it on social media.
That's a lot, the vocalist of ‘Rich Gyal Antem' said. I can pray over the money and give it to you if I can actually see you. “I don't just give strangers money because I don't know if you are a witch.”
Fans and admirers of the artist have responded to her comments online with both support and interest in her viewpoint.
It also draws attention to a widely held notion in Ghanaian folklore, according to which the idea of witchcraft and black magic still has significance in our culture even in the twenty-first century.
Fantana also revealed earlier before stepping into the studios that she had 18 tattoos and they all had significant meanings to her and her life's journey.
