I Used To Clean The Shoes Of Asa Khalifa – Kofi Kinaata Discloses

Ghanaian musician and songwriter Kofi Kinaata has disclosed that about a decade ago, he was the shoe cleaner for High life artist Asa Khalifa formally know as Old Sodja.

This was disclosed by Kofi Kinaata to inspire the upcoming artist who desire to be great. According to Kofi Kinaata, humbleness on the path of these upcoming artist will make them go far. Recounting on his old days when he had to move from one studio to another, he said he has begun his music career on the streets of Takoradi, where he met Hip life artist Old Soldier now Asa Khalifa.

Kofi Kinaata disclosed that, out of humility and rendering services to the artist, he sort to cleaning the shoes of Asa Khalifa.

The start of everything never comes easy, I use to visit Old Solder now known as Asa Khalifa in Accra when I was still underground, he goes with me to his programs, I sometimes carry his bags to various shows.

“I was cleaning his shoes even before he leaves the hotel to perform. It helped me because people even recognized me early when I started my own projects too.”

Kofi Kinaata made this revelation in an exclusive interview with Beach 105.5 FM in Takoradi.
