I Didn’t Choose Music, Music Chose Me- Kofi Kinaata Brags(Video)

Sensational Ghanaian highlife musician, Kofi Kinaata has admitted that he didn't grow up wanting to be a musician.

The singer revealed that his childhood ambition was to be a football player, and that he even enjoyed boxing. However, he discovered that his mother was a music lover. As a result, he desired to divert his mind away from boxing.

Kinaata told his mother that he had to choose between football and music as a profession.

Kofi Kinaata said their home is disciplined when speaking with Kwaku Manu on his Youtube interview. As a result, no one takes nonsense home with them. At home, his father did not tolerate nonsense.

And talking about Kofi Kinaata's musical career, he was the first runner-up in the Melody FM Kasahari Fight in 2009, shortly after graduating from high school. He's known for his lyrical versatility in terms of unique rhyme schemes and a satirical Fante rap style with a hint of classic African proverbs in his native tongue to both entertain and teaches.

He became know when Castro featured him on his Odo Pa song in 2013. Fast forward in 2014 Kofi released his first major single Oh Azaay in 2014, followed by Susuka and from then the rest is history.

He hosts one of the major shows in the country, the annual ‘Made in Taadi Festival' which is one of the most important musical events in Ghana's Western and Central Regions. Fans of Kofi Kinaata and people from all walks of life attend the concert. This concert attracts fans from all around the world.

Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Pappy Kojo, Joey B, Kwaw Kese, Medikal, Kidi, Edem, and others were among those who attended the show.
