Veteran Ghanaian actor, Agya Koo has denied claims that he warned Ghanaian parents not to send their children overseas owing to the country’s current condition of insecurity.
The actor claims that the reports are bogus and orchestrated by persons who wish to smear his reputation. The popular actor, who is a strong supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), adds that the reports are unsupported by audio or video evidence.
“Someone is attempting to smear my well-earned reputation for their own gain. As we all know, I never said anything, and they couldn’t even offer a voice or video of me saying it. They want to use this to discredit the NPP since I am famous and close to the party, but I want to tell them that this cannot humiliate the party,” Agya Koo added.
Agya Koo praised Nana Addo and his political party in a video posted on his Facebook page. “God has blessed the NPP, and whatever they have done has been embraced by Ghanaians and those from other countries,” he stated.
“I am genuinely glad that they disappoint the public,” he concluded. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is doing so much for Ghana that no Ghanaian will want to visit outside any time soon. The majority of Ghanaians residing abroad are eager to return to their homeland.”
