“If Shata Wale’s Shooting Was A Joke, Then It’s Not Funny” – Reggie Rockstone (Video)
Reggie Rockstone, the legendary rapper, has spoken out against Shatta Wale's apparent marketing stunt gone wrong.
According to sources close to the controversial musician, he was shot by unknown assailants on Monday evening, but the report appears to be false.
On Tuesday, the Hiplife legend declared on TV3's New Day morning show that death is not a game that anyone should play with, especially from such a prominent character as Shatta Wale.
The rapper explained that many people, including himself, were concerned about the issue, and that it would be wrong to suggest that it was all a PR gimmick.
“First and foremost, without disrespect, I will dismiss this because I am an elder,” he stated. You don't make jokes about death, and you don't speak about it that way because the bible warns us about the power of our words. You also give the gift of knowing that others adore you. Shatta Wale and I had a back-and-forth, and ironically, Shatta called two weeks ago during my Mufasa song project, and we haven't spoken since. But we've made up on some level, so we're fine.
