“The Movie Industry Is Not Dead, You People Just Need To Reinvent Yourselves”-Mark Okraku Mantey Tells Filmmakers

Mark Okraku Mantey, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, has dismissed claims made by some industry participants that the Ghanaian film industry is no longer relevant.

Mark Okraku Mantey stated in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz that the industry is developing in the face of new technology and digital tools, and that individuals should make use of the myriad opportunities available and channel them to their own benefit.

“The world is moving too quickly,” he continued, “so we must continually look around to see where we fit in and not sit in our tiny corners and declare the industry is gone.”

Meanwhile, Sam Safo, also known as Showboy, the Ghanaian rapper residing in the United States, claims he wants to commit his life to Jesus Christ but that Christians are making it impossible for him to do so.

The rapper broke the news on his Facebook page, along with a list of questions he claims he needs to be answered before giving his life to Jesus Christ. Showboy enlisted the aid of God’s servants to decipher certain biblical enigmas.
