“This Nonsense Must Stop” – Asamoah Gyan Upset After Majeed Ashimeru Was Left Out Of The Black Stars Squad To Face Nigeria

Former Ghanaian captain has expressed his disappointment at the omission of Majeed Ashimeru from the Black Stars squad to face Nigeria in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers play-off.

According to Asamoah Gyan, Majeed Ashimeru is the best Ghanaian midfielder after Arsenal's Thomas Partey.

Taking to twitter, Asamoah wrote;

This guy @MajeedAshimeru is the best midfielder in Ghana, after @Thomaspartey22 PERIOD. I have kept quiet on this but this nonsense must stop. Smh

However, at dawn on March 3rd, 2022, the Ghana Football Association of Ghana released the much awaited squad list to face the super eagles of Nigeria. 

Mohammed Kudus and goalie Richard Ofori have returned to the Black Stars after being named to the team for the important World Cup play-off against Nigeria.

After missing the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon earlier this year due to injury, the two crucial players are back.

Three debutants, Denis Odoi, Elisha Owusu, and Denis Odoi, are among the 27 players called by coach Otto Addo.
