I turned down a coaching job for Ghana – Asamoah Gyan
Asamoah Gyan, the former captain of the Blackstars, officially retired from football play just two (2) years ago.
Following his retirement, he enrolled in a coaching program and is now licensed to coach in UEFA B.
However, the former captain claims that he declined an offer from the Ghana Football Association to coach one of the national teams.
The timing wasn’t right, according to Asamoah Gyan, who stated in an interview that he declined the offer.
Not that he doesn’t want to coach the team, he clarified, but he feels that this is not the right moment for him.
“The timing was wrong but let us see what happens in the future. I won’t entirely rule out the possibility to coach because we don’t know what the future holds,” he said.
