“I Now Understand Why Most Ghanaians Don’t Think Straight” – Shatta Wale Reacts To GES’ Revelation That Mmore Koko Make Babies Drunk
The Ghana Health Service has discovered that porridge made from sieved maize, also known as “Mmore Koko” in the local language, has the propensity to make newborns who are given it inebriated.
The dish, which has long been regarded as the best meal for newborns due to its ease of preparation and low cost, is prepared by fermenting blended maize and transforming it into a baby meal.
However, if the maize is left unattended for too long, it ferments into alcohol, which, according to the Ghana Health Service, is harmful to the brain development of newborns, particularly those who are weaning off of exclusive nursing.
Reacting to the report by Ghana Health Service, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale, revealed he now understands why most Ghanaians cannot think straight because they drink fermented porridge and start getting drunk as children, making their thinking capacity very low.
