Nana Agradaa granted ¢50,000 bail but will spend a few more days in jail
Patricia Asiedua, also known as Nana Agradaa, was granted bail in the amount of GH 50,000 with three sureties by an Accra Circuit Court.
That followed the oral bail request made by her attorneys in court on Monday, October 17, 2022.
Nana Agradaa entered a not-guilty plea to six counts of defrauding by false pretense and one count of charlatanic advertisement in the courtroom presided over by Samuel Bright Acquah.
Despite the bond, Agradaa will remain in custody. This is because she was charged with one case of charlatanic advertisement and five counts of defrauding by false pretense at a different Circuit Court and was remanded to appear on October 26, 2022.
As part of the bail requirements, Mr. Acquah stipulated that the three sureties for the bond must be government employees making at least GH2,000 per month. Every Wednesday, she must also visit the police station. On November 10, 2022, the lawsuit will now be heard in court.
