Epixode, whose real name is Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo, has invoked death on anyone who dismisses multi-award-winning Afro-dancehall singer Livingstone Etse Satekla, also known as Stonebwoy, as the person who truly represents Ghana music to the rest of the world.

In the Ghanaian music industry, there has been ongoing discussion surrounding the African or Ghanaian musician who first introduced the globe to afro-dancehall music.

Buffalo Souljah from Zimbabwe, Orezi from Nigeria, Samini, , Shatta Wale, and Mzvee from Ghana are just a few of the many performers that have significantly aided in spreading afro-dancehall music over the world.

However, responding to the aforementioned discussion in an exclusive interview with renowned broadcaster AJ Sarpong on Citi 97.3fm, declared bluntly that he alone sold afro-dancehall music to the world.

Within the entertainment community, there have been a wide range of reactions to his statement. In expressing his thoughts on the subject, renowned Ghanaian entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo said:

He [Stonebwoy] has every right to own it, especially because he has successfully marketed his brand, the “genre,” and his nation to an international audience. It is impossible to deny his attraction on a global scale.

Epixode, who was a performer at this year's Bhim Concert hosted by Stonebwoy, praised the “Therapy” hitmaker for introducing Ghanaian music to the rest of the world.
