We all know how difficult it is to cope with the death of a loved one, even when you are not directly related. This is the case for Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso right now, as he has lost one of the greatest friends he has had in years.
Wakaso and Atsu have been close friends for a long time; the two frequently joke about on social media.
Sadly, Atsu’s death was officially announced on Saturday morning when his lifeless body was dragged from the debris.
Wakaso used social media to express his sorrow over the loss of his best friend, writing “Rest well” and using an emoji of a broken heart on each page to show how devastated he is.
