I’m Proud To Be Part Of Artistes Reviving The Highlife Genre – Epixode
Epixode has acknowledged that he is pleased to work with other musicians in Ghana who want to bring back highlife music.
The dancehall sensation released another dazzling Highlife song titled “O’bra” after fans adored and danced to his smash hit “Atia”.
In an interview with Amansan Krakye, the performer stated, “I’m thrilled to be labeled the Highlife reviver, and I’ll gladly take the honor. At least I’m not alone, but I feel that there are other artists who are trying their best to ensure that people love Highlife.
We sometimes believe that when you release a Highlife song, the DJs won’t play it since Afrobeat has taken over the music world, but I think that people will rediscover their passion for Highlife. The vivid nature of afrobeat may make us worry that people won’t enjoy it, but I’m glad I did it since it will encourage more artists to release highlife music.
However, he gave his coworkers, who were traveling a similar route, encouragement.
He said on Property FM in Cape Coast, “If we are numerous in the game, people will recognize us, and we will undoubtedly soon take over the industry.”
