Shatta Wale Is A Friend From Start, Negative Influences Came Between Us – Blakk Rasta Says
In a recent interview with King Lagazee on Asaase 99.5 Accra's Yaad Settingz show, Blakk Rasta spoke candidly about the decline in his friendship with dancehall superstar Shatta Wale and attributed it to their pronounced differences.
“You know he is been my friend from the start,” Blakk Rasta said in an attempt to explain his disappointment. “Unfortunately, negative influences like ego and other factors came in to destroy our bond.”
Even though the two musicians have had a long-running argument, Blakk Rasta expressed his sudden enthusiasm, saying, “I am thrilled now because we have been at odds for nearly 20 years.”
On a crucial occasion, he reflected, “In fact, the day I heard him speak on Facebook Live, I had goosebumps all over me.”
During Shatta Wale's online session, Blakk Rasta described an unexpected turn of events, adding, “He announced that he was going to address the matter of Blakk Rasta and encouraged his supporters to check in. His typical manner was what I expected.
Blakk Rasta said, “But he astonished me by saying he will ban anyone who speaks poorly of me. It helped me to see that a man who genuinely cares about his followers is prepared to cut ties with some of them if they treat him badly.
Blakk Rasta has been outspoken about his dissatisfaction with Shatta Wale throughout the years, labeling him as unappreciative and a bad role model for young people.
