Kalybos has stated that he believes Ghanaians are partly to blame for the nation’s present problems.
The Ghanaian actor, who ran for Nana Addo and the NPP, acknowledged the challenges facing the world, but he also underlined how difficult life is for Ghanaians as a result of commercial practices.
Kalybos voiced his worries about Ghana’s present economic circumstances in an interview with TV3.
Speaking about the economy, he remarked, “The way things are going right now is absurd. The Ghana we know is not this.” He made note of the issues that the general economic climate and inflation pose to residents.
In order to illustrate the effect of inflation on necessities, Kalybos gave the example of a drink that he used to purchase for GHc15, but that has now increased to $35 in a short amount of time.
He conveyed his dissatisfaction with the situation, stating, “We all know there is hardship and inflation is crazy, but how can normal citizens be complaining about this and be aiding to make the economy hard?“
In his view, individuals are not helping the economy due to their pursuit of personal, selfish gains. He added that “we are also not helping the economy much with our individual personal selfish gains.“
The actor suggested that citizens need to be mindful of their actions and consider their collective impact on the economy.
