Ghanaian Afrobeat musician Kelvin Brown, better known as Kelvyn Boy, has talked about how his song “Down Flat” improved both his personal and professional lives.
He said in a tweet on February 2 that “Down Flat” was not like his earlier songs, which were only about meeting his fundamental needs.
But after its debut in 2022, “Down Flat” shot to fame throughout the world and peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Top 50 Afrobeats Songs Chart, where it was included among such heavyweights as Fireboy DML, Tems, Davido, and Wizkid. Millions of views and streams were garnered for the song by its viral success on TikTok and other social media sites.
