Ghanaians Are Waiting For Me To Fail – Kuami Eugene Says

Sensational Ghanaian singer, Eugene Kwame Marfo, who goes by the stage name , has announced that he is trying much harder to stay on top.

When he appeared on YFM's Ryse N Shyne special, hosted by Brown Berry, the Lynxx Entertainment signee made it clear.

“I have to put in more work now,” he says, “because in Ghana, the larger you get, the tougher it is to do the job.”

He went on to say that “as an emerging musician, Ghanaians still support you, but once you start doing well for yourself, all of that support vanishes”.

“When you reach the brink, people will be waiting for you to slip. Everyone will remind you that you won't last at the top indefinitely. They're all waiting for you to fail, which is why I'm always pushing myself to work harder,” he said.

The 2020 VGMA Artiste of the year was born to Alex and Juliana Marfo in Akim Oda. His love of music prompted him to begin singing in church at a young age, where he also learned to play the drums, piano, and guitar. dropped out of school to pursue his passion for music and spent more than two months learning music in an Eastern Region studio without telling his mother or the school authorities.

Since it was learned that he had missed class, he was suspended from college. He went to Akim-Salvation Wenchi's Army Senior High School. The young artiste, who grew up in the Fadama neighborhood of Accra, went on to Ghana Telecom University to further his studies.
