“There’s No Need To Declare Castro Dead” – Kofi Kinaata
Remember that Hiplife musician Castro and his girlfriend Janet Bandu went missing while jet skiing at the Ada Estuary on July 7, 2014? Some musicians have made it their mission to honor or acknowledge him for who he is.
However, since Castro has been gone for seven years, Kofi Kinaata believes it is needless to pronounce him dead.
“Personally, his absence is costing me a lot,” he told Graphic Showbiz, “and his being pronounced dead would not alter anything for the family, friends, and loved ones because we still don't see him around.”
“Again, we don't sense his presence or influence in our lives, which is a huge loss, so why declare him dead?” Because we are already in grief, the pronouncement will have no effect on how we feel about his absence and the numerous tears that are being shed for what happened to him,” he continued.
“If he is not dead, declaring him dead will not kill him or prevent him from returning home when he feels like it,” he explained.
Kofi Kinaata, who described himself as Castro's protégé, said there were many others like him who hoped the Toffee singer would return eventually.
“As I already indicated, the proclamation means nothing to me and will make no difference to me since there are many, like myself, who are quite hopeful about Castro's return,” he said.
