“Underground Nigerian Artistes Sleep With Cheap Ghanaian Celebrities” – Wendy Shay Claims

Wendy Shay, the Ghanaian singer, claims that some of Ghana's top female superstars have made it easy for Nigerian underground artists to have their way with them.

She claims to be aware of several Ghanaian celebrities who are dating and sleeping with emerging Nigerian artists.

This, she added, is unfortunate since Ghana's top stars aren't given the opportunity to even get into the Nigerian market, let alone date their top stars.

Wendy feels it is past time for female celebrities in Ghana to exercise self-control and refrain from displaying such contempt since it is one of the reasons Ghanaian music is struggling.

Our biggest stars aren't only musicians… All you see is a Nigerian underground singer that is dating a Ghanaian top female celebrity… I won't name names, but I've seen female celebs do this… It's a terrible situation.”

I can't identify names since it would personalize the issue, but it's something I've been thinking about for a while. Even in the country as a whole, you'll see that we favor outsiders more than our own,” she stated on Peace FM in Accra.

Wendy Shay stated that in Nigeria, they do not allow Ghanaian celebrities to date their major stars, thus the same should be done in Ghana.
