“I Have Nothing To Boast Of, After My 41 Years In The Music Industry” – Veteran Singer, Yaw Sarpong
Yaw Sarpong, the veteran gospel musician, has bitterly stated that he has accomplished nothing significant in his musical career.
Despite the fact that he hasn’t made much money after 41 years of singing and 27 CDs, he is grateful to God for the gift of life and health.
He revealed this during an interview on Kumasi’s Angel FM, where he stated that he began music as a pastime rather than a business.
When we first started, the music wasn’t the same. We have not reaped the same benefits as the musicians. My debut album was published in 1981, at a time when music was still in its infancy. Despite the fact that it has not paid off, music has given us all we have today. Many people call me that, especially in Arab countries. I am not referring to individuals from Japan, the United States, or other countries. He said, “The future is brighter, and I trust God to make it better.”
