VGMA23: Full List Of Nominations And Predictions
We’ve come to give you an update on the nominees for the 23rd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, which are now being announced (2022 VGMA).
The awards program is intended to honor and celebrate the commitment and hard work of many stakeholders and participants in the music business.
It’s been dubbed “Music’s Biggest Night in Ghana,” and this year’s edition celebrates nearly two decades of honoring worthy creatives in Ghana’s and Africa’s music industries.
However, Dklassgh.com wants to update its viewers on the nominations as it gives out predictions on whom we think will win on the night of the big show.
We start with the first nomination, which is the best hip-life song of the year, and we root for Okyeame Kwame’s Yekko, featuring Kuami Eugene, to win that award. See the nominees below:
With the video of the year, we will go in for Amarae’s Sad Gurls Luv Money Remix, which was directed by Remi Laudat, to come out victorious in this category. See the nominees below.
Despite the fact that this is Black Sherif’s first entry into the category, he is widely expected to win best hiplife/hiphop artist of the year. We still think he will beat the top dogs, Sarkodie, Okyeame Kwame, and Medikal. See the nominees below:
With the best Afrobeats kidi of the year, we can all attest to the fact that no one comes to “Touch It Crooner” kid. Nominees are listed below;
Gyakie’s Forever, which features Nigerian singer Omah Lay, is, however, our pick for Afropop Song of the Year. Nominees are listed below:
There’s no other person than Kidi to win the Afrobeats/Afropop artist of the year. See the nominees below.
The reigning artiste of the year’s Awurade Ye is tipped to be the gospel song of the year. See the nominess below.
Obaa by Akwaoah featuring Cina Soul is expected by us to win the highlife song of the year. Nominees is discussed further below.
With the highlife artiste of the year, we will go in for Akwaboah. Kuami Eugene must pass it on this year. Nominees are listed below:
Kidi’s Golden Boy album won the album/EP of the year. That album got hits. Nominees are listed below;
Akwaboah, we think, must win this year’s song writer of the year. He has done a lot with his Obaa song. See the nominations for the best songwriter of the year below:
I think the best hip hop song should go to Black Sherif for his second sermon, and I think we all agree with that. Nominees are listed below:
With the reggae dancehall song of the year, Kidi’s Touchet is more likely to win than any other song in that category. See the nominees below:
King Promise is set to win the male vocal performance of the year. Nominees are listed below;
We tip Cina Soul to win the female vocalist performance of the year. See the nominees below:
Davido and Burnaboy were not nominated for best African act, but we believe Nigerian CKay will win. nominees below:
To us, the year’s best collaboration must go to D. Black for his intense comeback in the music industry. Enjoyment Minister was a huge jam. See the nominees for collaboration of the year below:
I think Je M’apple by Darkovibes featuring Davido deserves to win the best international collaboration award. However, the nominations for that category are listed below.
Rooting for MoGmusic to win the gospel act of the year just because he did very well in the year of review. Nominees are listed below:
Fameye won the record of the year with his song “Praise”. See nominees for the year’s record of the year below;
Larusso for the reggae-dancehall act of the year. That guy deserves better.
Amerado for rapper of the year, he also deserves better.
With the best new artiste we all know who it is. howver, see nominess below:
We think 2nd Sermon by Black Sherif was the most popular song from the list of nominees below:
We may now leave it to you to pick your favorite artiste who you think deserves the ultimate crown. Meanwhile, note that it is between Kidi and Black Sherif.
