“No Matter How High The Eagle Flies, It Won’t Go Higher Than The Stars” – Gyakie Says
Jackeline Acheampong, better known by her stage name Gyakie, has also responded to the Black Stars' victory against Nigeria, which took place in Abuja yesterday.
On Tuesday, March 29th, 2022, the Ghana Black Stars beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a World Cup qualification match in Abuja. Early in the first half, Ghana took the lead thanks to a great goal by Thomas Partey.
With a penalty kick attempt by William Troost-Ekong in the first half, the Super Eagles were able to equalize. The VAR ruled that Nigeria's second goal was an offside goal.
After beating Nigerians in the game, the Ghana Black Stars were able to clinch their place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
While expressing her delight after Ghana's victory over Nigeria, Gyakie said that no matter how high an eagle flies, it can never fly over the stars. In other words, no matter how hard the Super Eagles of Nigeria tried, they could never defeat the Black Stars.
