Remember You Are Not Alone – Stephen Appiah Tells Black Stars Ahead Of Their Match Against Portugal
Everywhere in the country is tense as Ghanaian citizens are hoping to see a great team performance by the Black Stars against Portugal today in their opening game of the 2022 World Cup. A lot of people who have been speaking ill of the Black Saints are even in the country colors as they move out today, putting a lot of pressure on the team to win our hearts back with their performance today.
This has prompted Stephen Appiah, the ex-Black Stars captain, to write an open letter to the squad on Twitter, encouraging them to stay focused on the fact that the country and Africa as a whole are rooting for them.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote:
My Guys today is yet another day to prove to the world that we are the only Black star that shines. The battle may seem tough but remember you are not alone. Ghana and Africa is behind you. Fight with team work, determination and perseverance… It is possible.
