“Sarkodie And I Are Rockstars, Not Kuami Eugene” – MC Dementor

Andres Eduardo Martinez, better known in showbiz as MC Dementor, a Colombian musician and rapper, has refused to refer to Kuami Eugene as Ghana's rock star.

In an exclusive interview with MzGee on the TV3 New Day morning show's entertainment segment, he revealed this. Kuami Eugene was known in Ghana as the sole rockstar, according to the rapper, but he is the true Ghanaian rockstar. MC Dementor claimed that putting Ghanaian English into his rap song makes him a rockstar, but Kuami Eugene is not one of them.

“No, he isn't a rockstar,” he said. He may call himself an afro-pop star, but not a rockstar, because he sings well. Because a rockstar is a person who creates rocks, but his music isn't rock. In truth, he can put anything rock-related, but he is not linked to a rockstar in terms of trending. Bogota is a legend. I'm a rockstar, and I'm proud of it. “A true rockstar.”

Many people refer to the rapper as Ghana Eminem since he has lived in Ghana for a long time. On the song “Kumerica Escobar,” he features a few Kumerican artists.

The artist, on the other hand, praised Sarkodie for his long-term contributions to rap music and referred to him as a superstar. Sarkodie, he says, has more control over rap music and has a more constant flow.

“I was looking at musicians on the internet and came across Sarkodie. He is, without a doubt, dope. Sarkodie is our superstar, and I am another superstar, in my opinion. And, yes, his voice is harsh and precise in the manner he raps. He told MzGee, “I saw that this is the nation I should be in, and I saw that this is the nation I should be in.”

MC Dementor also stated that Colombians, particularly Nigerians, enjoy a lot of African music. He challenged Ghanaians to put forth more effort so that their music might be heard throughout the world.

“Nigerian music is popular all over the world, and the majority of Wizkid and Davido's songs are popular in Colombia. PSquare and Teni supporters are also present. I've heard Fuse ODG's music in Bogota, and everybody who like dancehall music is familiar with Shatta Wale. However, more work should be done to ensure that they are well-known,” he stressed.
