“We Are Tired!” – Stonebwoy Blasts GHAMBRO And Musiga
Livingston Etse Satekla, better known as Stonebwoy, a Ghanaian dancehall heavyweight, has voiced dissatisfaction in the leaders of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation and the Ghana Musicians Union.
The two organizations, which were created to help oversee the well-being of musicians in the country, have long been chastised by practically every artist for their incapacity to make an impact on their careers.
The artists are not paid royalties, and it appears that there is no clear mechanism in place to compensate them for their efforts in releasing songs that are then played across multiple platforms.
The national Music Summit was held in the country’s capital yesterday, but according to Stonebwoy, nothing has changed because the organization continues to make the same mistakes, which he believes many musicians are tired of.
As a result, he vented his rage at the Ghamro chairman, Rex Omar, and demanded that he find a quick solution.
Showing his disappointment, Stonebwoy tweeted:
