Sarkodie Finally Reveals Why He Made A Diss Song For Shatta Wale (Video)

Shatta Wale and Sarkodie are two of Ghana's most prominent musicians. Despite their popularity, the two occasionally have lyrical beef, with Shatta Wale usually going too far and attacking him personally.

Shatta Wale is notorious for producing diss tracks with every musician with whom he has a beef. Almost everyone in the music industry has clashed with him. Among them are Stonebwoy, Yaa Pono, Sarkodie, and Reggie Rockstone. He's even had a falling out with some of his SM Militants when they left him.

As a result of this, Sarkodie has now explained why he chose to reply to Shatta Wale's criticisms with his song “Advice.”

According to the rapper, he usually replies to select musicians simply because they are deserving of his time, rather than anybody looking to capitalize on his notoriety.

Sarkodie said during an interview on Pure FM's Hammer Time show that his answer to Shatta Wale was not in response to his assaults on him, but rather to remind him that musicians have a larger role to play in the country and that disputes are unnecessary.

He believes, however, that Shatta Wale is a personality who prefers to address issues with controversies rather than walk away and respond calmly, and he accepts him as such.

He stated that he, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, and other artists have a role to play in establishing a standard for future artists to follow.
