Reggie Rockstone, the father of hiplife, has revealed the advantages he received following his altercation with dancehall artiste Shatta Wale a few years ago.
In an interview with Kingdom FM, Reggie Rockstone said that his Waakye company blew up when the dancehall musician insulted him on social media. He claims that as a result of the incident, he made a lot of money.
Shatta Wale took to his social media platforms a year ago to take jabs at Reggie Rockstone. He explained that he didn’t understand why a well-known figure like Reggie Rockstone still lived at his father’s house and sold Waakye despite his musical achievements.
Reggie Rockstone claimed in an interview that he had a lot of clients after Shatta Wale attacked him and his Waakye company since many were unaware of his existence prior to the incident.
“I won’t lie to you, but God works in weird ways. He mentioned my waakye, and then my waakye simply blew up. Many people are unaware that I sell waakye, despite the fact that I have been doing it for almost 10 years. It provided me with a fresh audience at the moment he stated it.
“I understood the game,” he explained, “so when he mentioned it, I started talking about my waakye and then I unleashed the jar waakye, which caught fire.”
