Burna Boy Recounts How His Grandad Helped Him To Work On His Voice (Video)

, the globally acclaimed Nigerian Afro-Fusion musician, has spoken about how he loathed the sound of his voice at the start of his music career and how his grandfather inspired him to accomplish more for himself.

claimed in an interview with Clique X that he had never liked how his voice sounded and had no idea why others loved it until he was talked to by his grandfather.

His grandfather advised him to concentrate on making his voice special by appreciating his talent and understanding how to deliver on his music profession, according to him.

He added that his grandfather noticed that blowing air through a saxophone, one of the finest musical instruments in the world, does not sound pleasant, but that when it is used to deliver a melody and the player knows what he is doing, the saxophone becomes the best instrument ever.

My Grandpa explained to be that look! the saxophone when you blow air through it, it sounds sh!t but when you know what you are playing when you follow and when you know how to play the saxophone, it's the best instrument ever. It made me understand that my voice is my saxophone”, he said.
