“One Corner Placed Ghana On The Global Stage, Don’t Compare Kweku The Traveller To It” – Patapaa
Justice Amoah, likewise known as Patapaa Amisty, a Ghanaian rapper artist based in Swedru, claims that comparing Black Sherif's “Kwaku the Traveller” to his initial hit single “One Corner” is a mismatch for music fans.
According to Pataapa, no Ghanaian song has created more waves around the world than “One Corner,” which is still Ghana's biggest worldwide hit.
Since its release, Black Sherif's “Kwaku the Traveller” has created headlines, becoming the first Ghanaian song to reach No. 1 on the Top 100 Apple Music Charts in Nigeria, as well as debuting on the Billboard Top Thriller Global Charts.
Patapaa told GNA Entertainment that “One Corner” put Ghanaian music on the world stage, with music enthusiasts from all over the world paying attention to the country's music.
“The international challenge that ‘One Corner' posed was enormous. In my opinion, Black Sherif's “Kwaku the Traveller” is a social media song that doesn't even come close to “Scopatumana.”
I agree that “Kwaku the Traveller” is doing exceptionally well, but it should not be compared to my “One Corner.” It's important for people to acknowledge my ‘One Corner' song because it put Ghana on the map in terms of music, he told GNA Entertainment.
