Sarkodie dresses like a lawyer; he’s always wearing suits – Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale, real name Charles Nii Armah Mensah, claimed that Sarkodie dressed too professionally for a musician.

Sarkodie is one of the musicians in the Ghanaian music scene who dresses professionally. Sarkodie consistently sports suits in his music videos, interviews, and the majority of his web photos.

In an interview with Paul Adom Otchere, Shatta Wale criticized the rapper for wearing clothing that was “too corporate” for his musical style. Shatta Wale claims that the Ghanaian heat is too hot for such clothing.

Shatta Wale claims that whenever he sees Sarkodie wearing a suit or kaftan, he laughs out loud since musicians have no business wearing such attire.

According to Shatta Wale, musicians should dress like Nigerian rapper Davido and only wear jewelry, expensive shirts, sneakers, and trousers.

Sarkodie should have been a lawyer instead of a musician, he said, because of the way he currently dresses and the fact that he barely ever identifies as a musician.
