Samini Trashes Black Stars’ World Cup Song, Says He Could Have Done Better

Emmanuel Andrews Sammini, better known as Samini, the Ghanaian reggae great and SRC of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), has trashed the official world cup song for the black Stars at the Qatar 2022 World Cup on his official Twitter page. 

The only reason the person who chose this particular theme music by the Kentos Music Band will do so, according to Samini, is probably because the person was also a member of the group that wrote the song.

Samini further explained that the song is hard to learn, but the team could have chosen someone like himself who would have done better on the song than what is being used now.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote:

‘The new black starts song tho ,do we have to learn it before the world cup ?🤷🏾‍♂️😂 whoever chose it probably wrote it too. Eiiiii track na 3y3 ya saaa no! Hmmm 😂😂😂 a few of us could have done a better job at that Chale anaa meeb)dam lol. but vim still for the boys. Go Ghana.
