In his interactions with pastors and prophets who promised him a breakthrough while he was a budding singer, Fameye has experienced it all: “wasted” money, following unusual prophetic guidance, and going against his inclinations.

The Grammy Award-winning musician and performer claims that he had no notion of his skill back in the day, which is why he wandered from church to church looking for a strong preacher who could use God's power to propel him to glory.

During one of his many meetings, a prophet led him to a riverside, where he summoned spirits that he said could grant him any wish.

If I had visited the preacher, I wouldn't have. It seemed weird that I was led to a riverfront in the morning. He used oils, onions, and garlic and even claimed to be calling on the ghosts of my ancestors to support his actions on my behalf. I wasn't feeling good. “After my experience, I didn't see any change,” the singer remarked.
