Safety and Production issues prevented me… – Wizkid apologises to his Ghanaian fans
Wizkid, the Nigerian Afrobeat musician, has urged Ghanaians to forgive him for missing his event, Wizkid Live, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He cited safety and production concerns as the reasons for his choice, claiming that they would have prohibited him from producing a high-quality performance.
Wizkid has issued a formal apology for failing to perform as the headline act yesterday. In a statement uploaded on his official Twitter account, he apologised whilst promising to schedule another event soon.
Although some may consider the night a flop, Ghanaian artists came through in the Ghanaian way, saving the day and providing top-notch music to salvage the situation.
Efya, Gyakie, Joey B, Darkovibes, Yaw Tog, Kojo Manuel and the Asakaa group turnt up the crowd with spectacular performances.
