23 University Ladies Donate Some Cash For John Dumelo Ahead Of His Campaign
A monetary donation of GH1,850 from several young girls from Legon, Knutsford, and UPSA was given to Mr. John Dumelo to support his campaign in the approaching parliamentary primary in the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat.
Mr. Dumelo lost in his first effort, which was also the first of his opponent, Mrs. Alhassan’s late husband’s replacement in the race. He received 37,478 votes, or 48.3% of the vote, to her 39,851 votes, or 51.4%.
John Dumelo lost the election, although the results appeared to favor him because the NDC saw an increase in votes of 8.7% under his leadership, while the NPP had a decline in votes of 5.9%.
After Rebecca Akweley Adotey’s triumph in 1996, Mr. Dumelo thinks the next election is his chance to secure the seat for the NDC for the second time in history.
Atking to twitter after sharing some picture, the actor cum politician wrote:
“Was humbled to receive the leader of 23 ladies who contributed a total of 1,850gh towards my campaign. The ladies( who are friends) are students from Legon, Knustford and UPSA. Im truly grateful. Together let’s make Awayaso West great again! #2ndcoming #JD2024”
