“When You’re Born In Africa, Your Goal Are Delayed By 10 Years” – Kidi
Afrobeat superstar KiDi has provided insightful commentary on the unique obstacles that young Africans face in achieving their goals and ambitions.
The artist brought attention to the significant delays and additional challenges that African-born people often have as compared to those in more developed countries during an interview with Berla Mundi on the Day Show.
The struggles that young Africans face are vividly portrayed in KiDi, showing that they frequently need to put in a lot more work and grit to succeed, especially when contrasted to others who are in more fortunate situations.
“As a child, your dreams and your goals are delayed by 10 years if you are born in this part of the world,” he said.
You have to perform something five times as fast as someone else. You were unfortunate from the beginning; you had already lost the race before it started; therefore, you must exert twice as much effort and adopt a monster attitude.
The musician did not hold back while discussing structural problems that are common in many African countries’ sectors, such as those in the entertainment and agricultural industries.
He emphasized the need for individuals to invest in their education and the need for self-improvement in order to reduce the gap between developing and less developed countries in Africa.
