The late scheduling of musical performances in Ghana, which differs from what occurs in other jurisdictions, has drawn the attention of artist Dennis Nana Dwamena, better known by his stage name KiDi.

He described an experience that really startled him when he arrived to play at an event in Europe and began at the precise time that the organizers had assigned him.

The singer pointed out that things are different in Ghana, where most performances last till the wee hours of the morning because of the late arrivals of both spectators and performers.

In a TV3 interview with Berla Mundi for the Day show, voiced his dislike for late-night programming and claimed that the threat should be addressed in the creative arts sector.

We must all work together to complete this task. It goes beyond fans alone. I once said, “It's starting at nine,” while doing a show. I thus planned to perform, even if it's frightening, since that's what I wanted to do to improve the situation, even if there were only two people there at nine.

However, you will find two people who are waiting for everyone to arrive, which will cause the performance to be delayed. I mentioned it's a communal phenomenon for that reason. To make this work, we must all contribute,” he remarked.

talked about an occasion when he gave a performance outside of the nation.

He expressed his surprise that, in contrast to what occurs in Ghana, the time allotted for his on-stage performance was honored.

“The scheduling of performances is one thing I often mention to folks. They informed me that I would be on the stage at eight the first time I started doing outside performances. In Ghana, where I was raised, the show's start time of eight p.m. actually meant 1:00 a.m. I was just unwinding when they said, “Listen, the show starts at eight, and the venue is closing by 10:00 p.m.” Although I had my doubts, they adhered to the timetable.

One of my biggest cultural shocks was that. And it does indeed happen. And I adore it because you capture the energy of the audience at its peak. The idea of shows going until 4:00 a.m. is beyond me. Furthermore, I dislike 3:00 a.m.
