AK Songstress

has shared her thoughts on why she believes there aren't many digital music streams for Ghanaian musicians.

During an interview on Property FM, she attributed the low music streams to the difficulties faced by the nation.

She expounded on the issue by expressing her strong belief that the prohibitively high cost of data is a significant factor limiting their streaming figures, in addition to the challenges faced within the nation.

What Did the say?

“Everywhere you go, things are very difficult and data is expensive, but the hardships in Ghana are extra,” claims the Jonathan hitmaker.

I will say that expensive data is also a factor but not limited to that alone, which contributes to our low streams here in Ghana, unlike the Nigerians.”

“I think I agree somewhat with anyone who says that the expensive cost of data is the reason why most Ghanaians here in the country can't stream our songs.”
